Emanuel Daycare

The daycare is a safe place of comprehensive care that currently serves approximately 90 children from 6 months to 5 years of age. To enroll, families must complete an application informing their social situation, home visits are made and it is a requirement that parents have a job. The families that need it most are selected, according to the place available in the daycare rooms, which are divided by age. In most cases, the families consist of single mothers who have to go to work full time (sometimes about 10 hours a day) and need a safe place for their children while they work to support their home.

Children who stay in the daycare receive all the care they need (food, nutrition, hygiene, routine, literacy, educational activities appropriate for their ages, socialization and space to play with other children). They receive affection, attention, and love in a safe and healthy environment.

We believe that it is important to offer assistance that reaches the families and not only the child assisted in the daycare or in the School. That is why we count on the help of a social worker guide the families towards a better quality of life. Weekly meetings have the objective of informing, guiding and training mothers and/or relatives in their professional, familiar, personal, and spiritual life, as well as offering a space where they can interact with each other, enabling the formation of bonds of friendship and mutual support. In addition to this, the daycare offers a program for new parents called Aprendiendo a Ser Padres (Learning to be Parents) that seeks to prevent family problems that result in homeless children.
